Kara Blue Bio
commercial real estate firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. With a diverse
background in real estate development and management, Kara delivers
personalized and expert service to clients across the region.
Kara’s career has been marked by rapid advancement and impressive
achievements. She began at a notable commercial development firm in the
Southeast, where she quickly rose through the ranks to manage a million-
square-foot portfolio of Class A office space. Her passion for real estate
development flourished as she participated in ground-up projects exceeding
500,000 square feet and earned her RPA designation through BOMA. One of
her standout achievements was managing the adaptive reuse project of an
1880s hosiery mill in Charlotte, transforming it into a vibrant mixed-use
development while preserving its historical essence.
Kara’s experience expanded to the transactional side of commercial real
estate when she joined a development firm in the Triad. She became a
member of the NAIOP board and also began working towards her CCIM
designation. Her commitment to excellence and client satisfaction has driven
her success in every aspect of her work.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kara is deeply committed to her community.
She co-founded the ‘Main in Color’ art festival and organizes bi-annual blood
drives, while also volunteering with local organizations such as food pantries,
family services, hospice, and the Little Theater. Her contributions were
recognized when she was featured as a Woman on the Move in a county
magazine.
Kara is an alumna of Appalachian State University, where she earned a
bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in leadership. She also holds
a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Development from UNC
Charlotte. When she’s not working or volunteering, Kara enjoys hiking,
attending live music events, and reading.
