Pam Irvin BIO
Pam Irvin is a dedicated Advisor at Phoenix Commercial Properties, a boutique commercial real estate firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. She brings over 25 years of experience at the intersection of commercial design, operations, and workplace strategy. With a deep background in designing spaces for healthcare, education, nonprofit, and corporate clients, Pam offers a unique perspective on how the built environment supports business growth, brand identity, and employee engagement.
She began her career in store planning for Macy’s before founding her own design firm, Design Details, Inc., where she led large scale commercial projects across sectors. Her work later expanded into arts administration at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and operations at Cisco Systems, where she specialized in employee experience and workplace visioning. This multidisciplinary background allows Pam to guide clients with strategic insight, creativity, and hands-on attention to detail.
Pam focuses on adaptive re-use projects, urban core businesses, and clients in health and wellness. She’s known for her proactive approach, ability to navigate tight timelines, and passion for aligning real estate decisions with broader organizational goals.
She holds a Master’s in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Cincinnati, a Bachelor’s in Interior Design from Indiana University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional and EDAC-certified.
Originally from the Midwest, Pam now lives in Durham with her husband, Len, and their Sheltie, Finn. She’s actively involved in the arts community, serves on the board of the Durham Art Guild, and enjoys travel, family time, and helping run her husband’s art business.
